Leo You is one of the firm’s most experienced practitioners in the property and commercial law space. In his role, he is involved with off-the-plan sales, acquisition, subdivision, and large-scale inter-state conveyancing. Leo also provides advice to clients in other areas of law including family law, succession law, insolvency and immigration law.
Leo conducts initial consultations, and reviews and negotiates amendments to contract terms by monitoring the client’s residential property acquisition across the entire purchase timeline. His astute legal skills help him identify and reduce expenses, as well as reduce the potential of future disputes arising post-settlement.
He is also involved in several medium-size off-the-plan sale projects (such as Forest Grove and
Stamnos) in Epping. He has worked in close liaison with the developer’s discharging bank and independently completed the entire conveyancing work with relevant parties such as the purchaser’s legal representatives and selling agents. Leo has the experience of conducting due diligences for several over $20 million residential/commercial properties in eastern suburbs including: assessing Occupation Certificate, Building Certificate, easement, neighbourhood disputes, and building reports among others.Leo often operates with a caseload of over 80 residential and commercial conveyancing transactions. He has expanded our conveyancing department through service delivery to interstate and local purchasers of NSW, Victoria, and Queensland property, completing an average of 15 to 20 settlements per month, and achieving a monthly revenue of $25,000. Leo also has the experience of determining eligibility and completing applications for Foreign Investment Review Board, stamp duty concessions/exemptions, First Home Benefits, and land tax issues.
