Siwei Hu

Siwei Hu is a Senior Associate at JB Solicitors. He is an experienced and dedicated legal professional specialising in Criminal Law, Migration Law and Administrative Law.  Siwei graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Sydney in 2014 and has been practicing as a solicitor since October 2015.  

With a strong background in Administrative Law and Criminal Law, he has been involved in a wide range of complex criminal matters. As a criminal law solicitor, Siwei has appeared frequently in all levels of courts, including Local Court, District Court and Court of Appeal, providing effective representation for clients. 

One of his areas of specialisation is appellant level work, which includes Judicial Review in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and Federal Court, as well as Merits Review in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. This expertise allows Siwei to handle cases involving high-level administrative law issues, including those related to the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO). 

Throughout his career, he has been involved in challenging and complex cases, such as international drug importation, money laundering, and crime syndicate matters. Siwei has a deep understanding of the criminal judicial system and firmly believes in the importance of providing rigorous defence to every client. 

On a day-to-day basis, Siwei manages all aspects of criminal matters, ensuring that clients receive personalised attention and top-notch legal representation. His dedication and passion for criminal law shine through in every case he handles.
